Toto Washlet S2

Model SW3346#01

Warm wateryes
Needs an outletyes
Heated seatyes

TOTO's entry-level Washlet, introduced in summer 2025 as the direct replacement for the discontinued C2. The big change: the C2's water tank is gone — the S2 heats on demand so warm water never runs out — and the body is 19% slimmer. You keep the heated seat, PREMIST bowl spray, EWATER+ wand sanitizing, deodorizer, and warm-air dryer, and gain a night light, all run from a side arm panel at a ~$350 home-center street price.

What owners like

+Instant heating fixes the old C2's biggest complaint — that tank ran lukewarm after roughly 35-45 seconds and the second user in a shared bathroom got cold water; the S2 stays warm indefinitely
+At $348 street (Home Depot) it's the cheapest ticket into TOTO's EWATER+ system, which sanitizes the wand with electrolyzed water before and after every wash — rivals at this price rinse the nozzle with plain water
+PREMIST wets the bowl before you sit, which measurably reduces waste sticking — owners report scrubbing the bowl about half as often
+Warm-air dryer, deodorizer, and night light are all included — the old C2 had no night light, and Brondell's similarly-priced LE99 drops the deodorizer entirely
+TOTO's docking-station install is genuinely 30-minute DIY — the seat slides off one bracket for deep cleaning and the included tee fits standard 7/8-inch supply lines
+Both elongated and round versions at the same price — fit flexibility the home-center KS6 sibling doesn't offer

Common complaints

−The side arm panel adds about two inches of width — in a narrow alcove it can pinch against a vanity, and unlike the S5 there's no way to add a remote later
−No user presets: you re-dial pressure, position, and temperature every visit, while the S5/KS6 remote stores four personal profiles
−The 1,273-watt instant heater demands a dedicated GFCI outlet and the cord is only 3.9 ft — budget for an electrician if your outlet is across the room
−TOTO's dryer remains the gentlest in the business — owners consistently report 60+ seconds of lukewarm breeze for a job a square of paper finishes in five
−One-year warranty is stingy next to the 3-year full coverage Bio Bidet puts on similarly-priced seats
−Spray tops out gentler than Korean rivals — bidet-forum regulars who want serious pressure point buyers to a Bio Bidet instead of any TOTO
−List price is $780 and some retailers ask near it — Home Depot and Amazon routinely sell the same seat for $350-430, so never pay list

Questions buyers ask

Does the S2's warm water run out mid-wash like the old C2's did?

No — this is the headline change from the C2 it replaced. The S2 heats water on demand instead of storing it in a tank, so the wash stays warm indefinitely, where the C2 famously turned lukewarm after roughly 35-45 seconds and left the second user in a shared bathroom with cold water.

What kind of outlet does the S2 need?

Its 1,273-watt instant heater wants a dedicated GFCI outlet, and the cord is only 3.9 feet — TOTO advises against extension cords. If your nearest outlet is across the room, budget for an electrician before the seat arrives; that's often the hidden cost of any tankless Washlet.

Will the S2 fit a round toilet?

Yes — TOTO sells elongated and round versions at the same price, fit flexibility its Home Depot sibling, the KS6, doesn't offer. Measure from the seat bolts to the front rim before ordering: roughly 18.5 inches means elongated, about 16.5 means round.

Is the side control panel annoying compared to a remote?

It adds about two inches of width, which can pinch against a vanity in a narrow alcove, and you re-dial pressure, position, and temperature every visit since there are no user presets. There's also no way to add a remote later — if presets matter, the S5 or KS6 is the right tier.

Can the warm-air dryer replace toilet paper?

Not realistically. TOTO's dryer is the gentlest in the business — owners consistently report 60+ seconds of lukewarm breeze for a job a square of paper finishes in five. Treat it as a finishing touch and keep a roll nearby.

Toto Washlet A2

TOTO's true entry point (SW3004, launched 2021 and still current): a tank-heated washlet with a heated SoftClose seat, dual-action rear/front wash with oscillation, and a wired side panel — and nothing else. No dryer, deodorizer, PREMIST, or night light; those start at the S2. With Amazon regularly selling it in the $225-$295 band against a $567 list, it's the cheapest way to put a genuine TOTO wand on your toilet.

Toto / Electric Bidet Seat

Toto Washlet KS6

TOTO's home-center exclusive, replacing the discontinued K300 in the 2025 lineup refresh. Under the lid it's essentially a Washlet S5 — same remote with four user presets, instantaneous heating, EWATER+, PREMIST, night light, dryer, and deodorizer — sold through Home Depot and Amazon at a lower street price (about $500 vs the S5's $650). The trade-off is choice: elongated bowls and Cotton White only. For most buyers it's the value play of TOTO's current range.

Toto Washlet S5

The 2025 successor to TOTO's best-selling C5, with the tank heater swapped for instantaneous heating and a 19%-slimmer body. It's the sweet spot of the current S-lineup: wireless remote with four user presets, heated seat, warm-air dryer, deodorizer, new night light, PREMIST, and EWATER+ wand sanitizing. Functionally it's an S2 plus the remote and presets — you're paying roughly $300 for that convenience at a street price around $650.
